Socially Versatile Contact Cards

Business Cards...

There are classic genre's of business card including Location Map Cards, Uber Professional Cards, Service-Based Cards, Product Cards... but these are not social items.  They're all classic business card formats.  So how do you combine social with a business card?

Digital Stationery has been playing around with Social Media for 12 weeks or so.  We don't have the answer, but we've sure got the creative zeal to play around with different ideas...!!!   Social is different.  It spans your everyday life.  Naturally you need something very versatile.

We've had a shot at preparing a socially versatile business card that can be used to communicate a message online and offline.   We've opted to use the reverse side of the card to provoke conversation.

Ooooch.  But that's right....!!!!

Quite simply, we are asking people to write on the back side of the business card. The card is produced using a Recycled PULP stock, keeping everything eco and at the same time encouraging re-use like never before.  The first person to write on the card will be @branddirector at the Social Media Event for eLearning and Education (Twitter hashtag #learnpod) at Doncaster University College.

Attending the event also is a whole series of Social Media enthusiasts from the private sector including @benmckenna @mikechitty @lizcable @branddirector @chris_norton @ChrisBrogan and others.

@branddirector's written comments about the card will be posted after the event as part of our social blog.

SOCIAL Call to Action:
Would you like to write on my backside?

It's directed in a fun social way, so hopefully it will cause a chuckle, break the ice and give us a great online and offline relationship.  Hopefully it cuts out all the cufflinking (ref @bradburton) as well.

Let's give it a whirl... we can always send out appology letters.

Please comment.... (that's what the blog is for)..!!!
