Oooohh sounds fab!!
Head Honcho says:
It should be. Feel free to share it round. Remember, just say whether Email Marketing or Social Media is best... and say why. That's it.
Neil says:
Social Media will improve, but for now - email marketing is probably the most effective for ecommerce....
Vicky "Oaktree" Robinson says:
Social Media first to spread the word and get people interested. Then use email marketing to those who have registered via your social media campaign. Both are required IMHO so they have equal weighting.
Bill Ryan says:
Social Media as it builds relationships which help with referals
tony tidswell says:
email works best - we have built a mailing list of fans and clients and they account for more than half of our business although we are top of Google for a lot of good search terms
Head Honcho says:
Great to see such strong and varied views coming over all of which are positive and naturally people will enjoy reading this.
Les Kinch says:
email is personal and it is like a magazine, if it appeals it will sit in the inbox and be read at intervals. The better constructed it is, the more appealing it is the longer it remains in the inbox.
Head Honcho says:
Really enjoying this and Les's comments are great about how long an email will stay in the inbox.
QUICK NOTE: In support of this competition, our monthly offer also offers 25% all email templates (fully designed and coded), so there is no need to wait if you just want to buy, see here:

Quite good timing that I just saw this. I’ve been thinking about email marketing for some time…
Social media is great however should be backed up by a personalised campaign with email I think. For me social media gets your brand across, establishes credibility and email marketing gives more info and hopefully closes the deal.
If it had to be one or the other, social media would probably win it for me!
Corinne says:
I've only been into the world of social media for a short while so haven't yet seen any tangible results (ie website signups for instance). My money (for now) would have to go on email marketing.
