Guest blog and Kick Ass
Woo hoo! you're guest blogging and you're guest blogging here with Digital Stationery. Terrific, pleased you made the grade, we're terribly fussy you know.!
You know how you had to jump through a few hoops to post here, we make everyone do it, you see we are not after the miserable, the mediocre or the mundane. We're into something unique, sexy and kick ass here, something that will make people sit up and take notice, but you knew that right? Of course you did, you've got to the guest post stage so you know what's expected of you.
Guest posting is an insanely powerful kick ass way of bringing traffic back to your own blog. It's a uber powerful endorsement of you. Not only are you super fabulous enough to post on your own blog (hey, we can all do that ;) ) but you are insanely wicked and simultaneously cool enough to post on someone else's blog. You must be good if you guest post... and that is just the perception of the audience. You know that the search engines value a link from a guest post as quite valuable, so you need to earn that link. If you earn that link in the right way it will help lift you in the search engines, but you don't write guest posts just for links do you? No? Oh good, glad to hear that :)
As well as writing a guest post that is unique and not going to get us sued for libel, you need to ethically source your images. If you can't find a suitable image search Flickr under the creative commons license. You need to make sure that you supply a short bio, you know that itty bit about you the author, the link to where we can find you (with super sexy anchor text) and a call to action. It sounds a lot of work and if that's putting you off then brilliant because I did say this is not the place for the miserable, the mediocre or the mundane. Thank you for being self eliminating, it saves time and energy all round.
If you have got this far and you are not put off then you are seriously in the right place :) but it's not over yet. As soon as your guest post goes live you have to start working. The world and his wife need to know about this guest post. Share it on Facebook, tweet it out, socially bookmark it. Tell everyone and their cat. Just don't let the cat comment ;) Invite and reply to comments, send people to take a look at your guest post so they know how super sexy and cool you are. If they are unsure why they have been sent to your guest post, then feck, send 'em over to this page and I'll tell 'em straight - you're here to look at the guests, they're great people y'know; sharing knowledge is what blogging is all about.
